You might want to consider using our OAuth 2.0 support if possible. If you do you can use any regular non-D2L library for that.

Hi. Sorry for replying after this long. We are working on an angular project and we had to use this sdk. Since we are working with TypeScript, is it possible for you guys to create type definitions for this module? Also, the crypto library valence.js requires at the bottom is no longer supported since it's a builtin module of node now. Use 'crypto-js'.

OAuth 2.0 is certainly an option we are considering. Since we are requesting appID and Keys as student from school, We would still make the ID-key authorization as our back-up plan in case school refuses to give us another pair of keys. so we would really like to see this repo updated to support @types definantions, thus TypeScript.

In all honesty we probably aren't likely to expand the scope of what we support in this library, but for something like that we would happily take PRs :)

Ouch, that sucks. It looks like we just require that for node environments which is good. Would you be willing to open a PR to fix that? If not, that's okay and we can figure it out.

Interesting. Could you send an email with your info (e.g. which school, what app you are working on etc.) to jacob.parker@d2l.com?

The benefit of switching to OAuth 2.0 is that you won't have to use our libraries :) and it's the way our stuff is going anyway. There are also APIs that are only available via OAuth 2.0.
