if we use embeddings we end up with awkward mappings
if we don't map we end up with disjointed CWEs
CWE is big enough to make manual mapping not a thing volunteers could do, I wonder if we can persuade mitre to link to CRE

Hi I’d like to work on completing the mapping for the remaining CWE entries. I can ensure the structure stays consistent and that all mappings align with the latest CWE references.

Hi @robvanderveer and @northdpole, I was reviewing this issue and noticed the discussion around embeddings vs manual mapping. Before starting any implementation, I wanted to check: Is this issue currently open for contributor work? Or is it waiting for design decisions first?
