Why aren't quantities and short-hand preparations listed in the recipe steps?

Has this something to do with i18n?

Instead of "Sautê (onion)" and add the quantity and its short-hand preparation in a box below "onion: 1 (diced)", it just could be "Sautê 1 diced (onion)".
That would enhance the reading flow immensely imo
