WorkTools is a browser extension that enhances your workflow on JIRA and GitHub. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
WorkTools does NOT collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
All data stays locally on your device and is never sent to external servers.
The extension stores the following data locally using Chrome's built-in storage API:

This data syncs across your Chrome browsers if you're signed into Chrome, using Google's secure sync infrastructure.
The extension requires these permissions:
- storage: To save your settings locally
- activeTab: To reload the current tab when you toggle features
- Host permissions (JIRA & GitHub sites): To inject UI enhancements on these specific sites
WorkTools does NOT:
- Use analytics or tracking services
- Make requests to external servers
- Share data with third parties
- Display advertisements
All data remains in your browser's local storage. We have no access to your data.
You can:
- Clear all stored data by removing the extension
- View stored data via Chrome's developer tools
- Toggle features on/off at any time
