Finally back on my feel after dealing with a personal loss I dealth with shortly after I released MagicQuant, but I'm excited to announce MagicQuant V2 will be releasing soon!
The new system is drastically more effective, drastically faster, and implements tons of new goodies overall. I'm excited to share more when the time comes. But just a little insight into what I've built. Version 1 on a specific test model turned a multi hundred million combinatoric search space into usually a 1M to 10M combinatoric search space.
Version 2 before it even begins the optimization search often reduces the search space to a mere 1.5k to 3k (depends) combinations. Version 2 isn't just faster, it's significantly smarter. I've taken everything I've learned from Version 1 and turned a research prototype into a full fledged pipeline. This includes a whole new language utilized, new framework, new philosophy.
But one last thing I will share. It's completely possible to isolate and discover what matters significantly earlier than initially expected. Which is how early pruning can eliminate quant types to tensor groups incredibly early in V2. The search space is drastically smaller than initially expected once you build the proper guardrails around the search system.
I'm excited to share more soon.
