Help massCode grow — spread the word! 🚀

Hey everyone,

If massCode has been useful in your day-to-day work, I’d appreciate your help getting it into the hands of another developer.

I’ve been building massCode independently since 2019. It’s grown from a snippet manager into a local workspace for code snippets, notes, math, and HTTP requests — free and open source.

Most people find it because someone recommends it, shares their setup, or mentions it in a conversation. Those small things help a lot.

Here are a few ways you can help:

• Tell a colleague or friend. If someone you know could use massCode, show them what you use it for.
• Share your workflow. Show how you organize snippets, take notes, work through calculations, or test an API in HTTP Space. A screenshot, a short recording, or a few words about your setup is enough.
• Mention it where it fits. When someone asks for a tool that massCode could help with, share your experience.

Thanks to everyone who has already recommended massCode, reported a bug, or contributed. As a solo developer, hearing that it’s useful to you means a lot to me.

I've recommended it to several people at work and they seem to like it. One feature that could be good for "marketing" would be some way of sharing snippets. At work I've hosted an instance of ByteStash to share snippets but I still use massCode day to day. Might be out of scope for the project, just a suggestion. Love the work you've put into massCode and I will continue to spread the word.

Thanks, I really appreciate that, and I’m glad to hear people at your work are liking massCode.

Sharing snippets is definitely a valid use case, but it’s a bit outside the current direction of the project. massCode is intentionally local-first, and once sharing needs to support anything beyond fully public links, it quickly turns into server-side architecture, auth/accounts, and private access control. That makes it a much bigger feature area than it might seem at first.

If you want, feel free to open a separate Discussion for it. That would make it easier to gauge how much demand there is for this kind of feature.
