The mac OS instructions in DEVELOPER.md refer to using brew to install the risc and x86 toolchains to build microrkit. Currently, this results in v15.2 being installed. However, the arm instructions specifically refer to using v12.2. I assume that was just what was current at the time the doc was written but I just wanted to check if 12.2 is an actual requirement for some reason before switching to the v15.2 arm toolchain permanently?

Using 15.2 for ARM should be fine (we've used it recently to build the SDK from memory), I'll make some changes to the ARM toolchain instructions to make it clearer.

Thanks! Yes, it does seem to build and run fine with 15.2.

fyi you can install the current arm toolchain with brew as well:

brew tap messense/macos-cross-toolchains
brew install aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu

then

./pyenv/bin/python build_sdk.py --gcc-toolchain-prefix-aarch64=aarch64-linux-gnu ...
