Cannot access an attribute of a dataset from its view.

If a dataset has a particular attribute which is set, say super_important_value, the view of that dataset cannot access that attribute. For example my_dataset[:100].super_important_value would raise an AttributeError.

The problem I can see with implementing something like this is the following:
While a variable may not necessarily change, and can be used in the same way, a function which is defined on the base dataset may not be well defined on the view. We wouldn't know what the user's desired behavior is unless they implemented the function themself on the view.
