Aaron Gough

I'm a senior software consultant focused on applied AI, secure agentic systems, AI security, and developer tooling.

I'm especially interested in how engineering teams can use increasingly capable coding agents while preserving engineering culture, strong engineering standards, and responsible software lifecycle practices.

Current focus:

  • Secure agentic systems: human-in-the-loop workflows, sandboxing, observability, and security review
  • AI security research: defensive testing and evaluation through Anthropic's Cyber Verification Program (CVP)
  • Developer tooling: coding-agent workflows, CI/CD, testing strategy, and engineering team enablement
  • Software consulting: Ruby/Rails design and delivery, legacy codebase updates, team process consulting
