Repo cleanup ahead of the 3.1.0 release. The version stays 3.1.0, since that release has not been cut.

README example

The full example's rewrite invented details the notes never gave (tour groups filming, laundry lines, old men watching football, "in spring with better shoes"), and it kept tells: "That is the Lisbon I keep thinking about, not the castle." (§1, §2), "Beautiful, yes." (§2), and "a strange way to see a city but probably an honest one" (§3). The notes now list everything the writer supplied, and the rewrite uses only the draft and those notes.

SKILL.md: each rule once

  • The evidence threshold (one sighting for §1 to §5, company for weak alone) lives only in the core rules. The section B intro and "When not to act" no longer repeat it.
  • The no-invention rule lives in step 2. §17 and §23 no longer restate it.
  • §26's scope lives in the section F intro, and its Problem is four sentences instead of seven.
  • Each watched word has one pattern: vibrant, boasts, and enhancing leave §16, and emphasizing and fostering leave §12 for §15. §12 no longer claims to be the only word list.
  • §10 follows the dictionary: third-party and cross-functional keep their hyphens everywhere.
  • Step 3 cites the tells that survive a rewrite by number (§1, §2, §6, §8, §19).

Checks and layout

  • Release notes move to CHANGELOG.md. Only five versions have GitHub releases, so moving to Releases alone would lose the rest.
  • The validator reads the version from CHANGELOG.md and checks that README pattern names match the SKILL.md headings. It requires one description across the three plugin manifests, and it budgets SKILL.md at 5,500 words instead of 400 lines; the file is 5,220 words. The dash-sentence special case is removed, and the Voice rule now names "the dash rule in §8".
  • Issue forms: a rewrite-problem form asks for the input, the call, the output, and the expected result, and a new-tell form asks why no existing pattern covers it. Blank issues are off. Questions and thanks go to Discussions, which are now enabled, and a link covers the AI-detector non-goal.

Checks run

  • python3 scripts/validate-package.py: valid. Each new check fails on a mutated file: a renamed README row, a different description, a version mismatch, a numbering gap, and a file over the word budget.
  • npx skills@1.5.20 add . --list: found 1 skill.
  • claude plugin validate .: passed.

…LOG.md

The README's full example broke the skill's own rule: its rewrite invented
details the writer's notes never gave and kept several tells (§1, §2, §3).
The notes now list what the writer supplied, and the rewrite uses only that.

SKILL.md states each rule once. The evidence threshold lives in the core
rules, the no-invention rule in step 2, and §26's scope in section F. Each
watched word has one pattern, and §12 no longer claims to be the only list.
§10 follows the dictionary, so third-party and cross-functional keep their
hyphens.

Version history moves to CHANGELOG.md; only five versions had GitHub
releases, so Releases alone would have lost the rest. The validator reads
the version from there, checks README pattern names against SKILL.md,
requires one description across the manifests, and budgets SKILL.md in
words instead of lines. The dash-sentence special case is gone; the Voice
rule names the dash rule instead.

Issue forms ask for input, prompt, output, and the expected result, and
point questions and thanks to Discussions.
