Summary

  • Remove the top-level $schema key from .claude-plugin/plugin.json.

  • The Claude Agent SDK does not recognize this key. Each time the skill loads, it shows this warning:

Plugin 'humanizer' has unrecognized key in plugin.json: '$schema' (stripped — the SDK ignores unknown top-level fields)

  • No tool reads the key, so the manifest works the same without it. marketplace.json keeps its $schema key because it does not cause a warning.

Validation

  • python scripts/validate-package.py: Humanizer package v3.1.0 is valid
  • claude plugin validate .: passed
  • claude plugin validate .claude-plugin/plugin.json: passed
  • git diff --check: clean

Notes

  • claude plugin validate passes with or without the key. It does not catch the warning, which comes from the SDK loader.
  • No CHANGELOG.md entry. 3.1.0 is already released, and a new heading needs a version bump, which is your call.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

The Claude Agent SDK does not recognize a top-level $schema key in
plugin.json. It strips the key and shows a warning each time the
skill loads. No tool reads the key, so removing it changes nothing
else.
