I've tried my best to make it more engaging for players. Everything new:

  • The Witch now kills players if they get too close to her. It actually forces players to pay attention and avoid her.
  • Because of the above change, she now has a short cooldown before she can kill again. This prevents players from griefing other players by standing next to them and enraging the Witch on purpose. She also has this cooldown when she spawns so whoever was in the middle won't instantly die and will have time to move away from her.
  • Now she wanders slightly faster in the smaller arena and wanders twice as fast in the bigger arena. It should make her more threatening in the bigger arena where she has bigger distances to wander.
  • The minigame now lasts slightly longer to give the Witch more time to wander around the arenas.
  • Updated the information printed in the text chat when a player enrages the Witch to include new information about getting too close to her and include information that using both voice commands and voice chat also enrages her.

I've seen it at #90, and I tested it myself, and it was a griefer's paradise; that's why I didn't re-add it or anything similar. If she kills someone and there are other players in her radius (I picked 100 units as it felt close enough and not too far from her), she won't attack them again for 1.5 sec. I tested this reaction time on myself with bots, and I never had problems with moving away from her range in time.

I've tried to replicate her behavior from L4D, where if someone gets too close, she gets enraged and chases the victim until she kills them.
