Describe the feature or problem you’d like to solve
To connect the GitHub MCP to Antigravity, users currently require Docker to be installed and running in the background. This introduces a steep learning curve and makes the setup process difficult and overwhelming for beginner users. Additionally, running Docker constantly consumes significant system resources (RAM and CPU), which heavily impacts multitasking and overall computer performance, especially on lower-end hardware.
Proposed solution
Enable direct linking/authentication (e.g., via a fully cloud-hosted OAuth integration or a lightweight native Node.js/binary implementation) between a user's GitHub account and Antigravity for autonomous and scheduled tasks.
How will it benefit GitHub MCP Server and its users?
Users will no longer need to install or run Docker just to use the GitHub MCP.
Frees up system resources, preventing the computer from feeling overtasked.
Massively lowers the barrier to entry for new users adopting Antigravity and MCP.
Example prompts or workflows (for tools/toolsets only)
Repository Management: "Fetch my latest pull requests from my repository and summarize the requested changes."
Issue Triage: "Create a new issue in my GitHub repository based on this error log, and assign it to me."
Code Review: "Analyze the latest commit on the main branch and suggest performance improvements."
Autonomous Actions: "Commit my current Antigravity workspace changes to a new branch and push to GitHub."
Additional context
This native integration would make the GitHub MCP infinitely more accessible to the broader developer community who may not have the system resources to dedicate to Docker desktop. Thanks for considering this enhancement!
