Charmcraft can do a lot more things since it was first released. The charmcraft.yaml replaces metadata.yaml and when packing will ensure that the metadata.yaml is correct and in place. Also, we can now use charm-libs to ensure everything is up to date. We've been rocking a really old prometheus library. Changes have been made.
Allow the consumption of a ca cert integration so that it's possible to store that in juju.
