The canvas paints bars with whatever --foreground computes to and falls back to black. The bubble set it to var(--primary), which this app does not define, so every unplayed bar drew black on the dark card. Use the Off Grid tokens instead: muted text for unplayed bars, brand green for played ones. The work header was ToolTimeline's bare ghost text button: no chevron, no surface, no sign it opens. ChatToolRows now owns the disclosure with the app's Radix collapsible, as the footer's "Generation details" and the Settings sections do: a compact token-styled chip (state glyph, label, step count, phosphor caret that turns on open) with hover, press and focus-visible feedback, and the shared offgrid-smooth-collapsible height/opacity animation. The library timeline renders always open inside it, with its own trigger unnamed and hidden. Tests cover the folded default, aria-expanded, and opening and folding by click, Enter and Space. The slot was defined but never rendered. Pro uses it for the one-time history cleanup prompt. Without Pro it renders nothing.
…them The browser extension re-read every open Settings section every five seconds. A text read rebuilds the model catalogue and installed list and parses up to 16 MiB of GGUF header per model on the main thread, which a live profile put at ~3.8 s of every 10 s. Add a settings.watch RPC. It answers at once when the browser's version is stale, otherwise holds until something a Settings screen shows changes (or 25 s, answered unchanged), so the browser re-reads only on change. The version moves on every app setting write, LLM settings, active model and task-role choices, remote servers, model download completion, delete, orphan cleanup and scan-folder changes, and the bridge's own settings.set. A missed writer costs a stale screen until the panel refocuses, never a wrong value. Older browsers keep working: nothing changes for settings.get. Older desktops answer an unknown RPC method as unauthorized, which a browser reads as a rejected pairing. Announce settingsWatch so the extension only sends settings.watch to a desktop that answers it. The chat's voice bubble now follows the TonePlayer reference: a large round play button with the spring glyph swap, a seek slider of two stacked waveforms (unplayed dimmed, played clipped to the playhead in the brand green with its glow), a glowing playhead, a hover position line, a mono current/total readout and a back-to-start button. Below it, a "Follow along" transcript built from Transcription segments that light up with the playhead and seek when clicked. The canvas cannot paint CSS variables, so both waveform layers get concrete colours read from the Off Grid tokens and re-read when the theme changes. Phrase timings are estimated from character counts across the real duration, since no word timings exist; seeking before playback is remembered so Play starts from that point. Speed, captions, copy and regenerate are compact ghost icon buttons with labels and tooltips. Loading, errors, autoplay, keyboard seeking and the decoded or transcript-derived waveform are unchanged. 384-415: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winExercise a real desktop writer in the watch coverage.
The final assertion calls
settingsChanged()directly. It does not calldatabase.saveSetting, which production desktop settings use. Add the writer-to-watch assertion to the DB-backed Electron fixture, or another test with the real desktop wiring. Holdsettings.watch, callsaveSetting, and assert that the version advances. The current test would still pass ifsaveSettingstopped signalling.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

…erver pdf.js fetches the file, and a page cannot fetch the ogcapture:// scheme (Chromium allows cross-origin fetch only for http(s) and a few built-in schemes), so every PDF showed "PDF unavailable". The viewer now uses the media server's http URL, as its own comment intended; the server exposes the range headers so a large PDF loads in pieces. useMediaUrl moves into core for this.
Compaction only shrinks earlier turns; a PDF longer than the window overflowed on its own right after compacting. The current turn's documents are now fitted to the room the prompt leaves (opening, passages the question names, passages spread through the rest) and the model is told it reads excerpts. Attached documents carry an end line so the question stays whole.
A long brand-green beam laps the composer every 2.4s, marking it as the place to type. The library's app-wide focus beam will replace it.
The document's share was at least a quarter of the window regardless of tools. In assistant mode with God or connectors, every tool must fit and the tools alone fill most of a 16k window, so the turn still ended in "Context is full." before any model call. The share is now what is left after the reply reserve, system prompt, required tools and capped history.
runChatWithFallback switched to every installed model and remote server on any error, so a turn too large for the window changed the selected model five times and sent the request to external servers. It now switches only when the model server was unavailable; an overflow or refusal fails once, as it would on every model.
The alive layer glowed both an input group and its square-cornered inner control, drawing a square outline inside the rounded field. Only the group glows now.
…rm bars 6d8a5da: AliveProvider runs Magic UI's BorderBeam round the outermost focused field (chat composer, search, every input) in place of the old glow and square ring; WaveformPlayer paints unplayed bars in the theme's text colour instead of black. The composer's own beam and the square-ring override are no longer needed.
The viewer drew every page 520px wide. Pages now draw at the largest size that fits the panel's width and height from the page's own shape, zoom scales from there, and Fit to screen snaps back. The library's PDF area still clips to 384px until its pin.
…s and trim margins
Every embedding ran in one FIFO queue, so a search or chat query waited behind hundreds of queued indexing jobs (3-4s per embedding in the AI log, most of it waiting). Requests still run one at a time on the worker, but interactive ones (search, chat memory lookups, tool choice) now jump the queued background work.
With nothing typed, universalSearch returned nothing, so Search showed "Nothing captured yet" beside thousands of counted items; the screen's test fake answered empty queries and hid it. The empty query now returns the newest captured moments, meetings and chats, newest first, within the chosen sources. Search's query embedding takes the interactive lane. The search DB tests' frames tables gain the real source column the connector filter reads.
Each search LIKE-scanned all raw frame text (347MB across 74k frames here), about 2.6s on the main thread per query, 97% of search time in a profile. frame_fts is a contentless FTS5 index (no second copy of the text) kept by triggers for new and edited frames; older frames are indexed in the background, newest first, in 200-frame batches. Until that finishes, search also matches the last 30 days word for word.
…sages, honest counts Capture records the same screen again and again; results and Recent now show each app-and-summary moment once. Observations synced from a connected account are kind 'message' with no screenshot and open their link instead of Replay (Replay could only land on the nearest frame, often the start of the day). Source counts were raw capture rows (Gmail 2515, of which 2067 bulk); they now count distinct moments without bulk synced mail (Gmail 431) and are cached for a minute. Recent leaves out only bulk synced mail.
Bump operator-ui to off-grid-ai/ui-library main 7f7d37e: PdfViewer fills its parent, fits each page by default and has its own Fit to screen. The app's interim width measurement and Fit button are gone; the panel gives the viewer its full height.
200-frame batches held the main thread over half a second each (5.6s of every 10s in a profile), so the whole app lagged while the index filled. Each slice now stops after 20ms and rests 80ms.
OPERATOR_UI_SRC (or npm run dev:linked) resolves every @offgrid/operator-ui import to the library's TypeScript and CSS sources, so library edits hot-reload here without a PR, pin and bump. Unset, nothing changes: CI and releases keep the github pin.
The cursor lived in app settings, so the index needed the settings module, and test databases that only provide getDB failed to load pro's schema. It now lives in a one-row frame_fts_state table; an index made before carries its cursor over once.

npm ci failed on SSH permission denied: the library moved repos and only wednesday-solutions URLs were rewritten to token HTTPS. Every workflow now uses the first token that can read the new repo. Rolls pro to the same fix.
CodeQL flagged the alias pattern: it escaped only / and ., not backslashes or other regex characters.
actions/checkout stores the repo's own login as a header for all of github.com, which overrode the probed token, so the ci job found no working token. Rolls pro to the same fix.

Voice-note player rebuilt to the approved chat-media design:
It also honours seeks made during synthesis and keeps a pending seek until playback starts. Speech no longer reads emoji aloud, and both local and remote voices reject text with nothing to say.
"Work done" row is now a clickable disclosure that stays expanded while work is live.
Shared library controls replace bespoke ones in AI activity, preset setup and the chat image options.
Per-render console logs removed from the chat components.
