This was the same problem reported in #1245: the latest simple Code.gs could return an unwrapped destination body and make the client fail JSON parsing.
Fixed in #1265; v1.9.29 is building now. Please use the new assets/apps_script/Code.gs and deploy a New version in Apps Script.
